Movie clip of the day!

The cities of Phoenix and Berlin have pretty much nothing in common, so I found it surprising the name of a new German film is called "Phoenix". The movie takes place in Berlin just after WWII, and Nina Hoss plays a Holocaust survior who returns home, but is unrecognizable. A Nazi soldier shot Nelly (Hoss) in the face, and after reconstructive surgery, she no longer resembles her former self.

In my movie clip of the day, Nelly expresses her frustration of her very difficult predicament to her best friend. Oh, the film is titled "Phoenix", because it is the name of a Berlin nightclub where a portion of the movie takes place. Whether you live in Phoenix, Berlin or anywhere in between, go see this movie.
